PARK LEGEND

Privacy policy

Last updated 31 October 2026.

Park Legend (theparklegend.com) is a chess game you play in your browser. This page says what it keeps about you, where, and why. The short version: as a guest, nothing leaves your device except what the ads need.

Playing as a guest

Your settings and your games are kept in your own browser's local storage and nowhere else. We cannot see them. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them, and guest progress is not carried over to an account. Your guest name comes from a simple counter on our server, which keeps nothing about you.

If you create an account

Accounts are made by signing in with Google. We keep your email address, the username you choose, your profile picture, and the games you play signed in: the moves, the result, your balance and your rating. That is what an account and a leaderboard are made of, and it is used for nothing else. It is stored by our database and sign-in provider, Supabase. Your username, rating and results appear on the public leaderboard; your email never does.

Signing in with Google

Google tells us your email, name and picture, and that it really is you. We use the name only to suggest a username. Google's own privacy policy covers what Google keeps.

Advertising and cookies

Park Legend is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technology to show ads, to measure them, and, if you allow it, to personalise them using your visits to this and other sites. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you are asked first, and you can change your answer at any time with . See how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google's ad settings. The game itself sets no tracking or analytics cookies.

Payments

The browser game sells nothing. If a purchase is ever offered, the payment provider handles your card and tells us only that the purchase went through. We never see or store card details.

How long, and your rights

Account data is kept while you have an account. You can ask to see it, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to info@theparklegend.com. You can also delete it yourself in the game, under Account. Deleting removes your sign-in, email, username, picture, play money and add-ons. Your past games and results stay on the public leaderboard under the name "An Old Legend" and a random number, which no longer identifies you. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Park Legend is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep an account for one.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
